Responsive More/Less Text

Large chunks of continuous text tend to make a layout look boring and cause the visitor's eyes glaze over.
Text should always be broken up into defined containers with plenty of white space around them. Where large amounts of text are unavoidable, their overpowering effect can be reduced by using a more/less function.
The item consists of an HTML5 <article> element with a heading, two paragraphs and an open/close tab.
The second paragraph is hidden on page load and is revealed when the tab is clicked/tapped.
A custom jQuery plugin is used to create the show/hide, animation and the toggle tab text.
Toggle Tab
A CTA tab is used rather than a text link since this gives a better target for fingertips when the page is viewed on touch devices.
The text for the open and closed position can be changed and the toggle animation speed which is set in milliseconds can be adjusted.

Tab
As can be seen from the above, spans can be inserted. There are controls to adjust their font size, color, line height and style.
The link tab can be styled with a solid background and border radius or can have a border which inherits the text hover color.
The more/less tab is located to the right and there is the option to add a hyperlink to the left. This can be configured to open internal or external pages and in a new window if required.
Container
The container can be styled with a border and/or box shadow and radiused corners if required and its vertical spacing from the items above and below adjusted.

Just want to say thanks for EverWeb. It's been fantastic! I'm one of those iWeb carry-overs and don't know why I waited so long to make the leap.
I love how EverWeb is user-friendly and offers countless options for design.
I've built two websites through EverWeb and I think they both exemplify the creative possibilities.

Jim Hardwick

I thought I'd drop you a quick note re my website, built in EverWeb. I'm a designer with very little coding experience, and I built my previous site in iWeb.
I found EverWeb extremely easy to use - very intuitive - and the online tutorials were excellent for those times I couldn't figure it out for myself. A far better app than iWeb - especially the mobile device option. Looking forward to building many client sites with it.

Ian Durman

It looks like I will seldom have to ask questions again because of your great EverWeb program. Your EverWeb site builder is really great, especially for someone without tech skills. (like me) I also love how easy it is to publish-once I do it right. Thanks for making an easy iWeb replacement that works even better than iWeb!

>I would like to thank you for your support & help. Within 10 hours you had PLANET RIVER back in the web game. Generally dont like to knock people/business, but I had been passed around with support tickets and live web chats with my previous provider since monday. Just not good enough in the year 2014. I am stoked to have moved all my web-related stuff to RAGE. RAGE & EverWeb rules the inter web

Rob Wilson

Just want to stop a minute and tell all of you at Rage how much I am enjoying using EverWeb and how grateful I am to have it.
I know you guys are working really hard, and wanted to take a moment to tell you … HOORAY!
This means a lot to my little business, and now I can start looking for a few more clients so KEEP GOING!

Linda Siegel

I purchased this to replace Apple's iWeb. It's a great product that is just as easy to design in as iWeb was. Most important to me is their fantastic customer service.
When I had some issues and had to deal with their support team they were fast and extremely helpful in resolving all of my needs.

Shawn Berman

Simple. Flexible. Intuitive. I tried several, but when I found EverWeb, I could have danced in the street! It gives me creative possibilities with my Mac that don't exist elsewhere, and it follows the "Mac/Apple" personality of user-friendly.
I cannot express what that means in benefits. If you're a Mac/Apple person, this is the best choice for developing and maintaining your own creative website - no matter the style.

Sunny LeGrand

Having recently created and launched my first-ever website with EverWeb + hosting, I'm giving five stars for the software and another five for EverWeb's terrific support.
Building my 'Art with Silk' site was a very rewarding learning experience. I'm delighted with the result; feedback to date has been 100% positive.

Very Versatile Machine

The Mackie Big Knob 3x2 is one very versatile piece of gear. I don't know how I got along without this thing. It has made controlling Mics, all my line level Instruments, as well as music sources like MP3 and CD players a breeze. If that is not enough, it will also switch between two Monitor speaker sets.
It also include Tracktion software which is really easy to use. The only thing missing as far as I am concerned is MIDI in and out ports. It is still one great piece of gear to have

Blown Away

I was blown away at the preamp quality in the Mackie Producer 2-2 USB interface I use at work. The ONYX preamps are heads and tails above the "reds" and the "blues", just my opinion. When we needed a monitor controller, it was a no brainer to get the Big Knob from Mackie. Basically get 2 really nice preamps in addition to providing quality switching options for 2 sets of monitors.

Go For It!

I had a Big Knob in a former studio I had built and remember the big, clean sound it produced through my monitors. I have a new studio now and haven't been able to get the same level of purity and fullness from the two audio interfaces I've been using.
I noticed that the Big Knob line had been upgraded and now featured two channels of IO. Seemed like a no-brainer. It was! I'm now getting the same big output I missed so much and have a couple of pristine preamps to to with it! I ran my Rode NT2 through them and now understand why the that mic is such a big deal.

Interface King

Only bummer is no MIDI, but we didn't need that for the monitor control features, so all good. If Mackie would add an ADAT in/out they would be The King Of USB Interfaces. The 3x2 is a great piece of kit at a sweet price. Paying more for less makes no "cents", so save some dough and get you some Mackie. PLUS the drivers are the compatible with every one of our DAW's - ACID, Studio One, Cakewalk, Samplitude, Tracktion, Sound Forge - it is a huge plus to have the Mackie interfaces jive so seamlessly.

Huge Sound

I have been waiting a long, long time for a decent audio interface with comprehensive monitor control and a foldback facility. While ADAY amd Midi would be nice, the feature set provides a great balance between price and performance.
Huge sound and crisp detail. When you step back and consider the level of quality and functionality of this unit, you're basically getting champagne quality and features from the 'Budweiser of audio gear. Got for it.

Give Me More

I always want more and don't really care about quality. I would much rather have a lower priced unit with less functions and cheaper fittings.
Why can't they cut the quality and get these manufactured in Chine like all the other stuff?
Does anybody really want things that are made in the USA anway? I would much rather beenfit from cheap labor working in atrocious conditions. I don't really care that someone else has to suffer as long as I get the stuff I want cheap
