iOS Simulator

The iOS Simulator is part of Xcode - a free app for designing software for Apple devices.
Using your Apple ID, sign in or register as a Developer and then Download Xcode.
Once installed, you should see it in the Applications folder. Control (right) click it and select to show the package contents.
Drill down through the folders: Contents/Developer/iOS Simulator Select iOS Simulator.app and do a Command L to create an alias. Drag this alias onto the desktop or put it the Dock or somewhere convenient like in the Applications folder.

Using The Simulator

The latest version of the iOS Simulator allows several devices to be open at once. This is useful for quickly comparing a page layout in the desktop browser, an iPad and an iPhone.
Choose the required device from the Hardware menu as shown in the screenshot above.
Move a device by holding down the mouse on the bezel and dragging it.
Close a device by selecting it and then click "Close Window" in the File menu.
Opening A Page
Open the Edit menu and turn on "Automatically Sync Pasteboard"
Open the local file in Safari for desktop and copy the URL
In the simulator, open Safari, click in the URL bar, click again and click the "Paste and Go" tab.

Useful Commands
Command + arrow left/right to change orientation
Command + S to take a screenshot.
Minimise Window - Command + M or Window Menu -> Minimise All
Hide/show device bezels from the Window menu
