Image Nav Menu
Rather than use an outdated navigation with dropdowns for section and product group links the more up to date approach is to have a separate navigatio for this porpose.
For best results in getting visitors to click through to other sections of the website the menu links should have an image which represent the product type or section subject.
Action Tab
The action tab has text and an animated icon and has a fixed position so that it always remains in view. It has a z-index control to make sure it always is visible above other page content items.
The tab has controls to adjust its position on the X and the Y-axis and it can be switched to the left or right so that ot can be used in combination with a page navigation widget for larger sites.
Links
The links have an auto grid layout with a control to adjust the spacing. Each like has an image with alt text, a caption and descriptive text. This makes for excellent indexing by the searc engines.
The links are in view on the EverWeb design canvas for editing and are then hiddden prior to publishing by checking a box.
Z-index
The z-index property specifies the stack order of an element.
An element with greater stack order is always in front of an element with a lower stack order.
Increasing z-index is equivalent to EverWeb's "Bring Forward/to Front" control.
