The ThemeKit Nav Header widget creates a header with optionallog/link. heading and a fade in overlay on click menu.
The heading has controls to add a text shadow and ltter spacing for using on Google hosted fonts that only habe on font weight.
The header bar has a show hide function so that it will hide on scroll down and reappear on scroll up or when the bottom of the page is reached.
The action tab has editable text and an animated change of state icon showing the "trigram for heaven" and switching to a close icon.

Links

The links can be arranged in columns and spaced out if required. They have a background hover animation and the current page link can be indicated by a different background color.

Footer

The footer is also an essential part of a website navigation. Most websites use a ridiculously large footer which is just a waste of space and an inconvenience for small mobile device users.
A footer needs to have easy to find links for the info page, phone function if appropriatem copyright notice, spam protected email function

• Smooth scroll to the top function.
• Show/hide function to make it easy to bring into view

All the other stuff that gets packed into those useless footers can be inserted into an info page that is link to from the compact footer bar.
