The grid can have up to 48 items. The links are created using JPG images inserted in a circular container which has options for adjusting the size and adding a border and/or a box shadow.
The number of links per row can be set for each device type - computer, tablet landscape, tablet portrait and mobile phone.
Images
The images used in this example were created in Keynote and then cropped to 200px square. This gices retina quality when inserted in a 100px container.
Overlay
The overlay appears on hover when viewed on computers and on page load on touch devices like the iPad and iPhone. It animates from the center out and has controls for setting the color and its opacity both on computers and on mobile devices.
The text is centered horizontally and vertically and animates in with a slight delay.
Captions
The captions are optional and can be hidden on touch devices if required. If viewing this page on a computer, reduce the browser width to see the overlay appear and the caption disappear.
