Hero Slider
A full width, fixed height slideshow can make a good first impression of a website as long as it downloads fast on all devices.
Just the same as a hero image, a slider needs to load a smaller version of the image for mobile devices and to lazy load the images.
Slider Stage
The slider is full width with a fixed or viewport height above the breakpoint but becomes responsive height below the breakpoint since this creates a much better viewing experience for mobile device users. This requires an intrinsic aspect ratio so the width and height of the mobile images need to be entered into the widget settings.
Transition
The wipe transition can be horizontal or vertical and the transition time is set in milliseconds. There is an autoplay function for those who want to annoy their visitors and drive them away.
Captions & Controls
The captions and controls share the same color. The caption can run to two or more lines and can be positioned vertically at the top, center or bottom and left or center horizontally.
