Horizontal or Vertical

The ThemeKit Wipe slider can be fixed height or full height and can be set up as a horizontal or vertical slideshow with a wipe action transition.
Images
The images are inserted in three sizes . Those used in the demo were reduced to 1200 x 800px, 720 x 480px and 375 x 540 for phones and optimised before importing into EverWeb.
Slideshow Stage
A full width fixed height sideshow may look great when viewed on a computer but not so much on mobile devices.
The Wipe Slider switches the slideshow stage to full width with responsive height for tablets in portrait mode and phones.
Slideshow
When the slider is in vertical mode the arrows can be inserted left or right. Right is usually the most convenient and they can be moved to the left for one handed phone use.
In horizontal mode the arrows are in the conventional position.
The arrow icon and its background have controls for color and for hover background color.
Captions
The captions are center aligned at the bottom and their position can be adjusted on the Y-axis. There is an option to animate the captions in and up.

Lazy Loading

To ensure that a slider with large images performs well in the browser a lazy loading function is essential.
It helps to add the ThemeKit Slider Smooth Load widget to fade in the page content over time to allow the first image to download.
