Afterglow Player

The Afterglow player provides EverWeb users with a feature that hasn't been available up until now - the ability to mix self hosted MP4 video, Vimeo and YouTube on one page with an auto pause function where the playing video pauses when another is selected.
The basic EverWeb Video Afterglow widget is a catch all which can play all three types.
The default setup is for hosted video and it's just a question of selecting the video type - Vimeo or YouTube - and entering the ID.
Self hosted MP4 video can be played by checking a box, selecting the poster image and video file, setting the initial volume and selecting the dark or light theme.
Styles
The widget has controls for setting the maximum width and the container background color and its opacity. There are controls for horizontal and vertical spacing and to add a border and/or a box shadow.
Video Aspect Ratio
As can be seen from the examples on this page, the player can be set up for any video file aspect ratio. The default setting is 16:9 for HD video.
For any other ratio, enter the width and height of the video file in the widget settings.
The MP4 video has a ratio of 2.39:1, the YouTube video is non standard at 2.3:1 and the Vimeo video has the default 16:9 ratio.
