Launching a lightbox gallery from grid of thumbnails is not a good idea for a responsive page that will be viewed on small mobile devices.
This box gallery is opened from a single image and will perform much better with faster download and less scrolling for tablet and phone users.

The two column grid has an image with an "open" icon and an HTML5 article with a heading, text and an optional internal link.
The relative column widths are adjustable and the layout can be switched.

The lightbox slideshow has all the required options …

• Controls for the slide caption size and color
• The caption color is also used for the controls icons, close icon and counter
• Captions can overlay at the top or bottom or be outside at the bottom
• Caption delay set in milliseconds
• Slide or fade transition with adjustable time in milliseconds
• Show.hide slide counter
• Hide overlay option
• Lightbox overlay controls for color and opacity
• Disable right click option
• Lazy loading with preload previous/next option
• Adjustable height and width ratio for adapting to odd aspect ratio images

Image Gallery

The responsive image grid is laid out by selecting the number of images to show per row for each device type.
The thumbnails have the caption below and have the option for a border and/or box shadow and a hover bottom box shadow.
The grid images can be rotated on page load with a slider to adjust the angle and another one to reduce the initial scale if required.
The onload grid images have a lazy loading option.
